Engineer: Planning
Job Overview
- Propose and implement prototyping to demonstrate value in regard to human-machine communication research
- Establish software requirements and suggest best practices and suitable tools and processes for sustainable software development
- Set up test environments for software quality assurance, and audit software security
- Manage external software projects, including engineering requirements and budget management
- Collaborate with research teams, sister institutes in the US and Germany, and related departments within Honda R&D
Required Skills/Experience
Required skills
- Able to understand advanced internal and external technologies related to research described in the job outline above, and able to build and refactor software
- Able to design prototype systems for verifying value, and able to plan associated verification tests
- Able to promote projects for the value verification above
Ideal candidate profile
- Have a keen interest in advanced technologies and be able to discern technology trends
- Have experience in the prototyping or social implementation of advanced technologies
Required degree
- Minimum of bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field
